Foreign Correspondence
I finally took a little bit of laptop time, hacking and slashing through Reader wielding the Mark all as Read button. I'm sure I missed a lot of good stuff. Oh well.
For those who are wondering, the Germans are indeed debating whether or not allowing Obama to speak at the Brandenburg Gate would be appropriate. Germans love Obama.
Because I couldn't help myself...
1) Bill O'Neill has been making a lot of hay out of Steve LaTourette's idiotic gas rebate gimmick. As it says on his website, there have been no new cosponsors in the 7+ weeks since the bill was written. ODB reported this as "no cosponsors," but that's wrong. As Politicker reports, the bill started off with two co-sponsors, and hasn't gained any since. You guessed it, one of the two co-sponsors is our very own Pat Tiberi. Once again, he's using support of the bad ideas of others to make up for his inability to devise bad ideas of his own.
2) If Pat skipped the Bexley parade hoping to avoid confrontations with strange bloggers, then you'd have to love the karmic consequences. Ron Paul supporters gang up on Pat regarding FISA, in Delaware, on video.
Speaking of video, I'm writing this from the balcony of my hotel room. We got in after a day-long train trip and were greeted with "I've been waiting for you. I've upgraded your room to one with a balcony with a view of the castle."
She was serious:
Finally, I have no idea what happened to my template. I'll fix it when I get back.
